Alexandra's Dressing Room covers all facets of professional costume from design to construction and maintenance. We have experience in both large and smaller scale productions and can adapt to varied working environments and individual needs.
Our experience covers multiple genres from opera to musicals and open-air theatre, as well as in film, both on the big screen and television. Extensive training backstage and on set, in production and in design means an understanding of a performer's needs and the knowledge to make the design work within the production.
We have designed and made costumes for specific genres of live performance such as ballet, contemporary dance, circus and for singers and burlesque dancers. Our costumes have been used for performances and screenings at The Sydney Opera House, the Cannes Film Festival, the London Burlesque Festival, the NIDA Playhouse and the Parramatta Riverside Theatre.
